We're not Dead, We just got... Busy

It’s been a minute since we’ve written anything here. February, apparently. The studio itself has been considerably less quiet.

Kuki has kept building From Fragments, Flight: new work, bigger canvases, more stitching, more birds, and continued experiments with paint, fabric, embroidery, paper, reused materials, water, snow, cracking, shrinkage, and whatever else seems worth trying.

This year has been a gradual return to getting the work out of the studio, too: photographing and documenting more of it, making prints, showing in person, and figuring out what comes next for Kuki Studios.

Most recently, that meant our fourth go-round at Arts in the Park in Eden Prairie.

More on that soon. For now, we have to get back to tracking down what is apparently the world's hardest-to-find spool of outdoor upholstery thread.
