From Fragments, Flight

From Fragments, Flight is a series of mixed-media birds built from remnants of earlier paintings and newly found materials. Kuki cuts, layers, stitches, and reworks those fragments into new forms, carrying colors and marks from one work into the next.

The birds share a vocabulary but not a template. Shapes repeat, proportions shift, and machine and hand stitching function as both construction and line. Traces of the earlier paintings remain visible throughout.

Each work is a one-of-one original, built from materials with a history of their own. No full reproductions. No reruns.
